As we look ahead, it really is a challenge to build the sustainable Home Leone. It is hard to know how much COVID affects us but our income in the first 5 months of this financial year is around 30% of the previous year. We need your help.
This has meant from 1 October 2020 we have had to reduce our staff and let a number go. We have introduced a 4 day week for our residents to ensure all can keep going. We have also been blessed with a large rice donation that also brings vital help.
COVID continues to add restrictions to our work with some NGOs just closing for a year and many with many layoffs meaning finding jobs for Sierra Leoneans is so difficult.
Do join us as we pray for the financial breakthroughs that will enable us to really push ahead once again. A number of great possibilities exist but we have struggled to get them over the line.
