A few weeks back some people came and started to clear a parcel of land that sat within our territory. They were “land grabbers” as known in these parts. At the bottom of our land the documents show a sort of marsh area, but the reality is the land is just fine.
After much negotiation involving the original land owner who sold us the land, the local headman, the local Councillor and the land grabbers, an agreement was reached that all were satisfied with. We ended up all signing on to the agreement and now it is clearly defined as our land which takes us to about 22 acres. Nothing you thought was straightforward turns out to be but with listening and negotiation, one eventually gets there!
