Healthcare on the move

It was great to welcome our friends from the AHS hospital in Waterloo, as we discuss the start of healthcare facilities in Destiny village.  They will bring the expertise as we look to deliver the primary care to an impoverished people group and the wider community.

We talked about what key facilities we provide and what can be referred.  How much will people pay for a consultation and their lab and drugs.  We realised how medics need to be as much negotiators as well.

Healthcare is a key pillar of our work and our Director of Healthcare, Dr Clive Thursfield is out again with us later this month as we develop the strategy and move towards the start of services before the year end.

We are also thrilled that World Hope have agreed to donate a “Clinic in a can” which is a consulting room in a container (see below).

Clinic in a can looks fab!! If the can people pay my air fare I can take some great pics once the clinic is up and running. Great people pics!!
One of my SL pics won an international iPhone award. My award and photo was published in the Guardian. Four more SL pics have been shortlisted for this year’s Travel Photographer Of The Year.
I am trying to persuade Gavin to come and film in Feb. Remind me of the dates again of your uk group visit? Is BobMay coming? Barry
