The unimaginable joy of around 180 children learning in Destiny Grace Academy goes to the heart. As the children skip to school with such joy and in such contrast to the education they would have got living in slums.
The picture is the inside of the first of 4 secondary school (JSS) classrooms that are now built. As we look at the need these will house children in years 7 and 8 and we need 2 more classrooms for year 9.
Our plan is for the the JSS to open in September. This is a faith venture as seek God for the funding to make this next step sustainable. Building curriculum and a new educational leader are vital steps.
As we gaze on these young people, one could be a future president. But no matter what they do they will know Gods love and gain critical thinking through a child centred learning approach, one so new to Sierra Leone.
