Birmingham Salone community comes to Southampton

I was talking to Sam Fofannah, Chair of the Birmingham Sierra Leone Society.  Southampton University offered us quality furniture and parts as they refurbish their buildings and we needed to get it to a container that some wonderful neighbours have agreed to locate at their farm near where we live.

In 5 days Sam mobilised 15 members of the society.  They hired a minibus and drove the 3 hours to Southampton, loaded and unloaded the equipment and after sharing a meal, drove back.

It was truly inspirational.  They shared how important it is to help their country and for them it was an honour to help.  At Home Leone we are just so grateful.
