The bane of my life at the moment. Polka is running ok at the moment apart from the sporadic EDC light issue. I have contacted the garage in the UK several times, but they have been unresponsive thus far. But she’s useable. Fixing her tow bar as it got damage in her first outing. Difficult to park in town, but good to go for the job that she was purchased for. And, will save us a fortune as we begin to build. If anyone knows a MAN truck fitter who would be “my man to go to” re problems I’d be obliged! It would be nice if MAN might sponsor us by way of supplying parts and technical advise……. One can dream!!!
Frank……. Our Land Rover! Hasn’t worked in weeks. I have had several mechanics come and look at him, and they start off very confidently, but then become very difficult to contact after a few days…… I can’t find a decent mechanic out here for love nor money. So I am literally pulling my hair out with him. I’m not too bad with the spanners, but the problem is beyond my capabilities. The last mechanic seemed sure the problem was with the computer controlling the engine, I don’t know. But I know it’s costing a fortune to use polka as a taxi, so I’ve been using “transport” pretty much all the time.
Again, it would be lovely to think that Land Rover might sponsor us in the same way. Another one to pray about I guess.
