Today was an unusual and extraordinary day. The President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Dr Ernest Bai Koroma came to see what is happening at Destiny Village.
The mudslide disaster last August has been taken seriously by the Sierra Leone Government, as they seek ways to address the dangers of slum living and make preparations for possible future challenges.
We are grateful to a number of leading Ministers and Government leaders who spoke with the President about our innovative approach and encouraged his visit.
So, its 3.5 years since we started on this journey to bring a solution to enable thousands of slum dwellers to relocate to a sustainable and holistic opportunity. We believe this initiative can save, change and bring hope to hundreds of thousands of real people. We are grateful for the Presidential visit.
