On Wednesday 11 February, I am flying to Sierra Leone via Morocco where I will join Ian, Abs, Moses and Andrew in our hunt for land. Ian left me plenty of things to bring so have room for a pair of “undies” and a T shirt alongside all sorts of car parts to fix the car. The turn round from Cambodia is quick as I thought I was flying Thursday but actually have less than 30 hours in the UK. Great to catch up with Rachel and Katherine in the UK Home Leone office today as we build on the work needed to make the best use if the wonderful resources so many have contributed towards the homes, businesses and infrastructure.
We hope to sign our deal for a place to have as a Home Leone base tomorrow. It will then feel like base camp is established! Clearly Ebola remains an issue so do pray for us as we work carefully in the environment of this dangerous situation.
