On Sunday we were in Kroo Bay, the largest Freetown Slum, sharing opportunities for families to move to a new life in Destiny Village. Last night a fire raged through the area. The Mayor, who visits Destiny Village next week, tells how 3 fire trucks arrived but couldn’t access the area because of all its narrow walkways. The assessments will come, but at least 30 homes were destroyed.
This so emphasises the need to build more homes like in our initiative. The need for the Sierra Leone government to get behind our work has perhaps never been so urgent.
