As I said in an earlier Blog, everything has cost more than we’d like. Having said that I have to make it a home for myself and for Katherine when she arrives. Also we have to have a usable office, so we need what we need.
The house has now been decorated from top to bottom, just on the last stages of that. plumbing and electrics are sorted. Tiling repairs have been done. I’ve installed some extra security I felt necessary for our safety and for the safety of our generator. I have got a gas cooker, fridge, fans, beds, mattresses, pillows bedding and shower curtains. That’s it so far! so still pretty barren, but I’m slowly getting there. I’m hoping to have some furniture this weekend. I’m going to collect it up country in the provinces.
I have also increased the security team by two…… Stella and Artois the most fearless guard dogs you have ever seen!!! Well, they will be…… actually they are blue at the moment, its a local remedy to get rid of unwanted visitors!!!
I have also increased the building team by three…… Baldy, Opotu, and Oddbit, quite good ant digging around in the dirt, but not much else……. well, not counting egg production!
I’m making it feel like home slowly but surely.
This next bit is about me
