On Saturday we were honoured so meet Sarah, Duchess of York, as she inspired 500 guests at a fundraiser for the amazing Charity “One Kind Act” (OKA).
OKA have previously supported Home Leone, funding 8 homes that have enabled families to move from slums to a new life in Destiny Village. On this occasion we were one of their beneficial charities and I briefly spoke on our passion for education and the opening and progress of Destiny Grace Academy. We are deeply grateful.
It turned out that Sarah had already been to Sierra Leone and actively supported some others working there. It is amazing how things link together. We have so much to thank OKA for as their trustees did an amazing job and we had such a lovely evening.
This vital support for our education is a key factor as we move to develop our 2020 vision.
