Last Night was extraordinary. The Shanta Foundation, with the help of One Kind Act, held a fund raising event for Home Leone at the Post Office museum in London. Hosted by actor, Ricky Norwood, I was able to share our vision and journey. I talked about what we are building in our lives and how that translates to enabling some of the worlds poorest in to new opportunities.
This cocktail night out had 275 people come and was simply an outstanding event, so well organised by a team of people passionate to make a real difference in the world. An auction and raffle added to the donations people made on the night.
People we so generous as over £100,000 was raised. Many came and spoke about different aspects of the work in which they resonated or may be able to get behind. In truth such generosity brought tears to my eyes. We are deeply grateful for the support and look forward to building more homes and developing other village aspects.
I am thankful to God and to those who worked so hard to make this happen.
